There are fairies at the bottom of my garden....

by tylluanpenry @ Saturday, 12. Apr, 2008 - 17:00:23

Recently I was tagged by Wendlane to post seven weird things about myself and a couple of comments were particularly interested when I said I had seen fairies. So in response to this therefore, I thought I would explain a little more.

I was almost fifty when I first saw fairies. I didn't believe in them, and I certainly didn't go looking for them. When it happened I was sitting in my garden, on a very warm afternoon. I hadn't been reading about fairies, or looking at Arthur Rackham prints or anything that might reasonably have prompted me to suddenly see them. Indeed, if someone else had told me they'd just seen a fairy, I would probably have thought they were mistaken.

That day, however, I saw something that made me change my mind. Down in the garden was the outline of a golden fairy, several feet tall, with wings, just rising up and down. I say outline because it was not solid, but looked as though just its outline had been drawn with golden ink. She'd go up in the air several feet and then down again until she just hovered above the ground. Apart from the fact I was seeing something I didn't believe in, she looked just like a fairy from a Victorian painting.

Shortly afterwards, (maybe ten minutes or so) another fairy, much smaller and brightly coloured like a dragonfly splashed with gold , came right up to me and starting tugging my sleeve. I could see something pressing on my left arm, even moving my sleeve.

I had a strong impression that day that I was meant to see the fairies, and they were pleased about it. It was a lovely experience, totally benign; I was amazed to see how the fairies really did look the way they appear in traditional tales.

And I quite understand if you don't believe me - before I saw them for myself, I mightn't have believed this story either! :)

I believe you. :) Did they want you to go and look at something or was the tugging at your sleeve a way to get your attention ?

What a beautiful experience. I wish I could see them as clearly as you did

I thought at the time that the sleeve tugging was trying to make sure I'd noticed them. It surprised me how much they looked like the Victorian style fairies... I was expecting something a bit more like the elementals....;)

There may be many kinds of fairies.

My guardian angel was almost like a fair, cream or gold coloured with a sparkly golden belt , translucent almost

OOps :)) Wrong post was meaning the tuther one :) What a great sighting you had... what I saw was not like that more a shadow ball type thing but someone with me saw it as well and that convinced me.

I think there are many different types of magical beings out there - certainly I saw two distinctly different types of fairy on the same day, and I'm sure there must be others too.

Hi m. I'd be interested to hear about your experience with the ball, would that be possible? C.

Wow tp. That's quite an experience. I've had a few things myself, so I certainly wouldn't say it's not possible. I wonder though whether the state of elementals, angels and spirit guides is of energy, and our minds present the energy to us in a form we each will recognise or accept.

I say this because I've seen a 'ball', hence my interest in mermaid's experience. As I'm happy to settle for now with 'essence energy', my mind knows I'd accept, or recognise, that as an indicator of an energy or essence being present, if you know what I mean?

But any (nice) experience of 'otherworld stuff' or I like to think 'the spiritual realm', is always a great delight! I'm sure it affects you still, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy it! Lovely!
