  • slowing down further....

Today it feels personal. My computer has crashed totally..........aaaggh! >:XX At first it just went slow, then it went completely mad. Luckily we have a really good computer repair shop in the nearby town, and I can take it there to get it sorted out.

Just about everything was saved onto disc but even so, I'm beginning to feel the first stirrings of paranoia! You know the sort of thing - did I save XYZ file? Well, it's too late now to worry about it. (I am writing this on a computer borrowed from one of my daughters who has kindly offered to lend me hers until mine is fixed.)

Anyway, I haven't been able to settle to doing any work and as you can imagine after yesterda's 'slowly slowly' post that is really annoying.

    Grrrrrrr:##

  • the kettle's calling the pot again

The Daily Mail likes to scream at us (lately in CAPITAL LETTERS just in case we've missed the point) how spelling, good manners, the weather etc., are all going to hell in a handcart. So it comes as a surprise that if you look here:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/dailymail/home.html?in_page_id=1766

and scroll down until you come to the section on the right marked In Our Opinion with the heading 'Quentin Letts' you will discover that 'piers' have been demanding an enquiry into the Iraq war.

Well, no wonder the country's in a mess if all that stands between us and anarchy is a load of thick wooden posts...:) Which, when you think about it, is probably not so far from the truth!
