Paganism, the green man, solitary witchcraft, spells and festivals.... plus just about anything else that crops up along the way!I have written a book, 'Seeking the Green' about my personal pagan path, which was published by Capall Bann last year (2008) Their website is at : http://www.capallbann.co.uk/(copy and past into your browser window).

This year they have also published another book of mine, 'The Magical Properties of Plants and how to find them.'

Progress report

Florence continues to make excellent progress. Yes, she is still a bit fragile, but she's starting to stand up again by herself and goes off into the garden with the others.

It's wonderful to see and a sobering reminder that we came so very close to ending her life.

It's also a very apt reminder that we humans don't know it all, and old dogs like Florence can still surprise us!

I have often thought that dogs - like Florence - have much more intelligence than many humans who keep our law and order in business.

  I agree with you there - Florence came to us after being badly ill treated at her previous home. Her problem was that she was considerably more intelligent than her previous owners....

  THank you Mira - she's definitely on the mend. I know we may not have her all that much longer, but I want her to get as much out of life as she can.

  Thanks, Menhir. We actually called the vet to come out on Saturday, but she is clearly rallying round again.

    ...even better. Watch the rally though, she shouldn't use up too much energy too quickly. Pacing is everything.

  She was out in the garden by herself yesterday, admittedly she's a bit stiff and creaky but then so am I! She's still got our other dogs completely under her thumb!

  It is indeed. The thing with Florence is that she's never really slowed down as such, more that she suddenly came to a grinding halt. As Kevin says though, every day is a bonus now, so it's up to us to make the most of it!
