Thank you for that, Rosmary is one of my fave of all the herbs, i just love its smell and taste, its so easy to grow and such amazing protective qualities and other uses.

That wand is amazing and yes diffinatly see the goddess outline there.

Thank you for your confidence in me! Maybe I'll give it a try one of these days, but I'm not sure whether I would be any good writing fiction.... at the moment I am working on another book. My one on RUnes has to be put aside at the moment because my publisher has asked for a new book on Psychic Self Defence.
I've already made a start....:)

That was an interesting read. I dont know if you are in a mood to write another book or not,but why not try an adventure thriller next time?
Based on your knowledge of herbs,myth and nmagic,a hero in ancient world using those knowledges and a villian using the same against him?
Many have done this theme.Robert Langdon,christopher paolini...

I love trees too - and you're quite right, people just don't know when to stop. I love to go and press my face against the trunk of an old tree, it's such a magical experience!

Some people do seem to destroy an awful lot. It's hard to see how a religion that preaches that a benificent god creates everything can then take it upon themselves to chop the trees down....:roll:

Such ignorance !! St Boniface and Pope Paschalis II were not saintly at all :(

I believe that Christiantity has not been following the teachings of Christ very well at all. Jesus never choopped down trees - he loved the lilies in the fields.

Bless our trees, all of them , even the rotten ones in the woods that some creatures feed on.

I love trees and i dont understand why any one wants to cut them down unless they become dangerous and are about to fall.

It doesnt make sense, and when they do start they dont know how to stop, it becomes a mania with many,violent destruction i call it.

There is some thing special almost sacred about an old tree but many cant see that,lets face it a tree can be on this earth for a lot longer than any one of us, that surely says they are special.

Thanks for putting this on your blog - there was so much information in the talk - well, both of them - that I just didn't remember everything I wanted to (and with it being my first time at Witchfest really didn't know what to expect).

Having grown up in a Christian family it was really interesting to see the impact Christianity had on either the renaming or demonisation of the plants.

Payday next week I shall be ordering both your books :)

I think you are onto something there, though it is also important not to underestimate the extent to which the church, and the monestaries in particular were an urbanising project in many ways and that the impact they had was also as a result of the different technological approaches they brought to man's interactions with nature.

Really interesting Tylluan, I am learning so much about plants at the moment and it's completely fascinating..I have always known about certain plants but I am going much deeper into it which is why I need a copy of your book, and will buy one, it's on my xmas wish list! :)

I would imagine so, im hoping this year was just a one off and it will return to normal again next year. If not Cardiff then somewhere close at least.

Even the rock and gem festival in Margam park wasnt on this year.
